granola yogurt

I know a lot of you use either granola yogurt at breakfast or for dessert .
With ice cream is also very rich, so when I saw this recipe I loved to share, here eat yogurt with granola for dessert but it's good have it in a jar on hand to sprinkle on top.

It can be stored for two weeks and keeps well.

Source: Bon Appetit magazine

Ingredients
1 large beaten egg White
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
(such as almonds,pistachios
or walnuts)
1 cup coconut shavings
1/4 sunflower oil
or coconut oil
1/4 cup sesame seeds
2 tablespoons light Brown sugar
1 /2teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

(when is baked)
1 cup of dried cranberries or cherries
Method

Preheat oven to 180°c

In a large bowl toss to combine.
Spread out on a rimmed baking sheet.

Bake granola, stirring every 10 minutes until golden brown
and dry about 40 minutes.
Let cool on baking sheet (it wil crisp as it cools)

Add 1 cup dried cranberries.
Store airtight at room temperatura.

Coconut shavings are strips of  unsweetened coconut and are available at many natural stores and supermarkets.

You can serve too in layers in a glass with yogurt and fresh fruit.

  22. How lovely. This is my typical breakfast when the kids are at school. :) I cook more substantial breakfast and eat with them in the summer and on weekends. But it's so convenience to keep a jar or two of good granola at home.
