I had this recipe from past summer and is from Bon Appetit,
sometimes happens you have a lot of recipes but not all the time (home, teens, work and others ) the other day I find again and today here is a really sunshine day (like spring) thinking we are in winter still I have to make it:)
(anyway we eat Ice cream around the year)
In Bon appetit they say you can make with the kids and is true and is fun but I made alone and was better (I made a mess in the kitchen with the chocolate but I clean all LOL)
I added chopped pistachios and raspberries but you can use others nuts too or granola!
Im sharing with Cook your books of Kitchen Flavours
Ingredients
350 grams (about 12 oz)
semisweet or bittersweet chocolate
(or high quality white chocolate, chopped
1/3 cup coconut oil or sunflower oil
1 1/2 teaspoon finelly grated lemon zest
(optional for white chocolate shell)
Assembly
8 standard sugar ice cream cones
4 cups Ice cream (about 2 pints)
3/4 cup of garnish such as chopped pistachios,
crushed prezels, frozen raspberries.
Bombe Shell
Combine dark chocolate and coconut oil or sunflower oil in a medium metal bowl , set over a medium saucepan of simmering water.
Stir until chocolate is almost melted. Remove from heat and continue stirring until completely melted and smooth.
Let cool slightly (if it's too hot it'll melt your ice cream.
assembly
The cones I used have a base but if you have the other cones put in glasses with some sugar to hold cones upright.
Working with 1 cone at a time, spoon about 1/4 cup bombe Shell inside cone and swril to coat
Pour excess back into bowl.
Set cone upright in a prepared glass. Chill in refrigerator
until chocolate hardens (about 7 to 8 minutes)
Repeat with remaining cones,
Line a rimmed baking sheet wih foil . pack some Ice cream into cones.
then top each with a small scoop of ice cream
Lay cones on baking sheet and freeze until hard, about 1 hour.
Rewarm bombe shell working with 1 cone at a time, rolling to coat.
Quickly sprinkle on desire garnish. Freeze until hard. (about 10 minutes).
when I sprinkle with chopped piastachios and berries in someones I added quickly raspberries.
Keep frozen.
You can made 1 week ahead.Wrap each cone in foil.

aluza foil)
Wow, that's got something for everybody!
