Rustic apple pie

If you look in my labels Pies you will see I have different apples pies, because I love it, so I wasn t sure to post this  pie but finally I made, the crust is so good and when we ate the last week I think the difference of a pie made in home and other from the Super or other store, I think especially you can notice in the dough. Try this!

Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1  teaspoon of baking powder
1 egg
100 grs. butter
1/2 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
4 to 5 apples peel in slices
powder cinnamon
apricot jam to brush
Method

In a bowl mix flour, sugar and baking powder,
Then add the egg, milk and softened butter.

Attach all well to form a soft dough, you do not knead.
Butter a cake pan removable .
Reserve a piece of dough to make the lattice of the pie.

Meanwhile  in a  skillet  place apples  and 1/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat until apples are slightly soft. Season with cinnamon
Dissolve the cornstarch in a little water and add to apples.
Cook a few minutes and remove from heat.
Allow to cool. Distribute  the apples  on the mold and decorate by a lattice with reserved dough.
Painting with a brush apricot jam dissolved in water or sprinkle with cinnamon.

Cook in the oven at 180 ° for about 25 minutes or until dough look  golden and the apples cooked.

PD Sorry by the pics was a cloudy day (we are in autumn) and still only have my cel phone to the pics, hope to have a new camera soon:(

Cocinar unos minutos, retirar y dejar enfriar.

  46. Amongst all the pies, my favorite is always classic apple pie. Something about it is just so special. I love you made lattice. My mom is not a baker (hence I'm not either) but I remember her apple pie with lattice. It's just random memory about her baked goods (only?). You made such a beautiful pie!
