Medias Lunas (argentinian treat)

As countries of immigration in which many millions of Europeans settled, the idiosyncrasies of these nations was complying with the various immigrant contributions were received. In this case, known as invoices or biscuits snacks are part of both appellants Cuisine of Argentina and the Uruguayan. Are common with coffee with milk or even, the mate may even be filled with dulce de leche, quince jam or pastry cream and covered sugar, either white or black icing (also called icing).

These treats themse fluffy  yellow while the shell is thin, lightly browned, caramelized and crispy. The mass usually contains a moderate amount of butter or animal fat in other cases, though, for whom such ingredients are forbidden, there are also bills that have replaced animal fat (butterfat) vegetable oils such as margarine best quality.

The medias lunas are sold in bakeries and its price is determined by the dozen, but is also sold individually. They are consumed at breakfast or lunch or commonly accompanies mate at different times of day.

Here in Chile we adore medias lunas, in many caffes you can eat with some coffe or tea.
And in my house too. Enjoy!

EN ESPAÑOL

Medias Lunas (dulces argentinos)
