I am always looking for original desserts or dishes and for my taste this is one of the most entertaining desserts to make and try , is a dessert that resembles a cafe latte (so goes cups) but it really is a dessert cream coofe with whipped cream on top . That's also a delicious and light dessert and rich.
You can add some cookies when serve too.
I adapted from a book I have of Editorial Blume, London.
The author is Sara Lewis.
Ingredients ( 4 servings)
2 eggs
2 yolks eggs
1 can sweetened condensed milk
200 ml., strong coffe
200 ml whipped cream
cacao powder for sprinkle
chocolate wafers (optative)
Method
In a bowl mix the eggs, egg yolks and condensed milk until
smooth. Gradually add the strong coffee.
Strain this mixture and place in 4 cups of coffee or tea. (Depending on size)
Previously buttered the coffe cups.
Put the cups on a baking tray with water.
So the water reaches half of the cups.
Preheat oven at 180°c
Cook in double boiler for 30 minutes until the cream has curdled.
Remove the cups and let cool.
Place in the the refrigerator for one to two hours.
meanwhile whipp the cream until stiff, add a spoonful of sugar, beat well and place over coffe cream cups.
Sprinkle with cocoa powder and serve.
