Apple Crumble












Apple crumble is one of my favorites desserts, nice, simple and yummy, is lovely with vanilla Ice Cream or whipped cream.
Is nice for breakfast too, ask my daugther that breakfast this today!!
I add strawberries for garnish but really was a yummy idea, you can add some frozen strawberries or raspberries, or blueberries.






Ingredients (6 servings)

6 to 8 green apple(Granny smith)
60 grs. butter
3 tablespoon of sugar

Crumble

1 cup of flour all purpose
2 tablespoon of Quaker white oats
2 tablespoon of peel almonds toasted
60 grs. of butter
2 tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of ginger powder
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder



METHOD


1. Peel and core the apples and cut into slices or chunks, melted the butter (60 grs.) in a large frying pot and add the apples cut in slices,and the sugar and stir well with a wood spoon until are golden.Cook to slow heat by 15 to 20 minutes.

2.Place the apples in a large dish or little bowls.

Make the crumble:

In a bowl join the flour, oats,toasted almonds, sugar,ginger powder and cinnamon and add with fingers tips  butter making crumbles, until the mixture looks like fine crumbs.

3. Spread the crumble over the apples and  and press. 
 Bake at medium oven (190º) until is golden.
  About 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm or chill. with whipped cream or vanilla Ice Cream.

CRUMBLE DE MANZANAS

Este es uno de mis postres favoritos, por lo simple y porque no es tan dulce (lleva poca azucar)
puede servir de merienda o de desayuno, como lo ha comido mi hija hoy en la mañana, aquì hace calor asì que viene bien algo asì.
Igual se puede servir con un poco de nata montada y algunas frutas o con helado de vainilla que queda muy bueno.
Le pueden agregar unos frutos rojos que vengan congelados aràndanos, frambuesas o fresas.

Ingredientes

6 a 8 manzanas verdes (granny smith)
60 grs. de mantequilla
3 cucharadas de azùcar

Crumble

1 taza de harina
2 cucharadas de Avena quaker
2 cucharadas de almendras peladas y tostadas
60 grs. de mantequilla
2 cucharadas de azùcar
1 cucharadita de jengibre en polvo
1 cucharadita de canela en polvo

Preparaciòn

Pelar las manzanas y cortarlas a lo largo, Eliminar la parte central con las semillas.
En un sartèn mas o menos grande coloque la mantequilla derritiendola y agregue las manzanas y el azùcar, revolver bien con una cucharada de maedera, dandolas vuelta para que se veyan dorando.Cocinar por unos 15 a 20 minutos.

Colocar las manzanas en una fuente o pocillos y reservar.

En otro bol mezclar la harina, azùcar, avena, almendras tostadas y canela y jengibre, unir con la mantequilla haciendo migajas `para el crumble, cuando esté listo esparcir sobre las manzanas y presionar suavemente, llevar a horno medio (190º) por unos 15 a 20 minutos o hasta que estè dorado.
Se puede servir frío o tibio.
Servir con nata montada o con helado.

Bruschetas with tomatoes and basil



After all these holidays I think is nice eat something fresh and light, the brushettas are nice like an appetizer or like a simple and tasty food. By days I eat only these at lunch!

 Bruschettas are (if you dont know)thin  slices of baguette are brushed with garlic and oil mix and toasted, then topped with a tomato, basil and garlic mixture.But have a lot of differents forms of make. (with cheese, others veggies,mushrooms, or others)




 


Ingredients

1 baguette French bread or similar Italian bread



6 or 7 ripe plum tomatoes or cherry tomatoes

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoon Olive oil or other oil

6-8 fresh basil leaves, chopped.


Salt and freshly  black pepper to taste

1/4 cup olive oil

Method

Cut in slices the baguette or other bread  on a diagonal about 1/2 inch thick slices. Take a bowl and add oil, garlic, pepper in it.



Coat one side of each slice with olive oil using a pastry brush. Place on a cooking sheet, olive oil side down. these in batches  Toast for 5-6 minutes, until the bread just begins to turn golden brown.
  Rub some garlic in the slices and drizzle half a teaspoon of olive oil on each slice.


• Peel tomatoes, chop them and drain them in the strainer for 20 minutes. Add these tomatoes to the oil dressing and toss to coat. Keept it aside for 15 minutes.

Cover with the toimatoes the bread slices. sprinkle with salt and pepper.
 Sprinkle it with chopped basil.

Serve warm with red wine (Carnemere) or a white wine (sauvignon blanc.)

Bruschetas con tomates y albahaca

Despues de tantas fiestas y dìas con diferentes comidas, es agradable comer algo, liviano y apetitoso.
Por lo menos a mì me encanta.
Las bruschetas son un aperitivo italiano delicioso y liviano. Pero tambien se pueden comer como un lunch porque son agradables y apetitosos.

Para los que no las conocen las bruschetas son un aperitivo de origen italiano que se hace en pan baguette o similar, con tomates albahacas, pero pueden ser con queso, cebolla o champiñones.




Ingredientes

1 pan baguette o similar cortado en torrejas finas
6 o 7 tomates pequeños,  tipo cherry o ciruela  (màs bien
pequeños) los del tipo cherry yo no los pelo pues no es necesario.
2 dientes de ajo molidos
2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva u otro neutro
sal y pimienta
6 a 8 hojas de albahaca picadas
o cortadas en juliana
1/4 taza aceite oliva

Mètodo

Cortar el pan en rorrejas delgadas.
Prender el horno fuego medio (180ª)
Hacer una mezcla con el aceite,ajo picado y sal y con esta mezcla pintar los panes cortados por ambos lados.
Colocar al horno por unos 5 a 6 minutos hasta que esten dorados los panes.

Cortar o picar los tomates y dejarlos drenar un poco.

Colocar los tomates sobre los panes cortados y dorados, espolvorear con sal y pimienta y cubrir con albahaca picada o cortada en julianas.

Servir con vino rojo o tinto (Carmenere) o un blanco Sauvignon blanc que es muy bueno para aperitivos.
