When I made this jam the other day I think was published but not, I posted about apricots, plums, strawberies and quinces but not raspberries.
Raspberry jam is one of my favorites jams, and this have apples too, chopped apples, because like you know the pectin of apple make the jam more thick, was nice.
Ingredients
2 kg of raspberries
(freeze or fresh)
1,400 of sugar
2 apples peel and chopped
1/2 lemon (the juice)
Method
Place the raspberries and the sugar in a saucepan and set aside by 1 hour.
Add the chopped apples and the lemon juice. Stir well.
Cook at medium/low heat, by 1 hour aprox. Always stirring when will be more thick try in a plate a little to see if is thcik is ok.
Let cool until is warm to filling the jars.
Set aside the jards and cover with a towell kitchen all night.
The following day you can place the lids.
Raspberry jam is so nice to save. But normally I prefer to save in refrigerator, cause I dont use special additives.
I had 4 jars with this. (medium jars)

No importa.
Ingredientes
2 kilos de frambuesas
1 ,400 de azúcar
jugo de 1/2 limón
2 manzanas medianas peladas y picadas
Salen 4 frascos medianos, no uso frascos grandes.
Gloria!

I grow my own raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. I freeze some and make jam out of the rest. I hope the weather is good this year because I want a good yield. In the country, we women swap cuttings so that we all can grow our own fruit.

DeleteHi Gloria,
ReplyDeleteThe jam does look so beautiful and delicious. I really like raspberry, blackberry and boysenberry jams. They are all yummy.
I just have one question though. What is the amount of sugar that you use. Is it tablespoons, teaspoons or a metric unit.
I also wonder if there is a site that converts the measurements for us. I see lots of recipes in metric units and I have no clue as to how many cups, pounds, teaspoons or tablespoons to use. If anyone knows of one I would really appreciate this info.
Oh and is that a cookie or a cracker that you put the jam on? It looks really good.
God bless.
OK dear I will search some (I think you use oz, anny way I talked in kilogramos or grames, but I will answer you soon (lol)
