Always I wanna made Biscotti they looked so nice, and finally I fin a lovely recipe in Ladies Home Journal and american magazine from December 2002 (Always I look my olds magazines specially from Christmas times)
While not too sweet the biscottis are delicious and elegant (I serve with Ice Cream too)and yummy to eat with some coffe or tea, I keep them in metal boxes and well preserved

Ingredients
1 cup walnuts chopped
3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice.
Method
Heat the oven at 190°c with one rack positiened in center and one directly below.
Toast waltnuts just until golden, 4 to 5 minutes.
Cool and chop together on a cutting board.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour , baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl whisk together remaining ingredients until smooth.
Stir egg mixture into flour mixturethen stir in nuts.
(Dough will be soft that's OK.
Divide dough in half, lighty grease a large cookie sheet.
With lighty flored hands shape dough in two logs. Slightly rounded in the center.
Bake on center rack until firm to the touch.
(30 minutes)
Let cool 20 minutes .Leave oven on.
Transfer logs, gently cut the logs to a cutting board. With a serrate knife gently cut logs in slices.
Lay slices flat on 2 ungreased cookie sheets. Bake until bicotti are lightly browned around edges, by 10 minutes.
Flip biscotti over on cookie sheets , reversing positions when you put them back in the oven.
Bake 6 minutes more.Transfer biscotti to wire racks to cool.

Biscottis de limón con nueces
Siempre había querido hacer biscottis (me encantan), ya saben que son un tipo de galleta de Italia en que se hornean dos veces, quedan deliciosos.
El biscotti no es muy dulce y son hermosos y ricos.
Especiales para un café on un té. .Y tambien los serví el otro día con helados, queda muy bien.
Esta receta está adaptada de la revista Ladies Home Journal de la Navidad del 2002.
Ingredientes
1 taza de nueces picadas
3 1/4 taza de harina normal sin polvos de hornear
2 y 1/2 cucharaditas de polvos de hornear
1/2 cucharadita de sal
3 huevos
1 taza de azúcar
1/2 taza de mantequilla o margarina derretida
1/4 taza de aceite
1 cucharadita de ralladura de limón
2 cucharadas de jugo de limón
Preparación
Calentar el horno a 190 ° C y tostar las nueces por unos 4 a 5 minutos.
Dejar enfriar y cortar fino en una tabla de cortar.
En un bowl grande mezclar la harina, los polvos de hornear y la sal.
En otro bowl unir los ingredientes restantes (huevos, ralladura de limón,mantequilla,aceite etc.
Unir las dos mezclas la de harina y la de huevo.
Agregar la nueces picadas.
Si la masa está suave está bien.
Dividir la masa en dos porciones.
Engrasar una bandeja para horno. Con las manos enharinadas hacer dos panes medianos (más grandes al centro) y colocar sobre la bandeja de horno.
Cocinar por 30 minutos.Deben estar firmes al tocarlos.
Retirar y dejar enfriar unos 20 minutos. Dejar el horno prendido.
Con un cuchillo con sierra cortar cuidadosamente los biscottis formando unas lonjas largas.
Colocarlas en una bandeja de horno y llevarlas a horno por unos 10 minutos o hasta que las orillas estén doradas.
Dar vuelta los biscottis y colocar unos 6 minutos más.(que esten dorados)
Dejar enfriar antes de guardar.
Duran bien una semana.
