almond-crusted fish














If  somebody dont like turkey or meat, or chicken??
Many Christmas we ate fish at Christmas Eve, because  daugther is a veggie but eat fish, only fish,   remember a year I made a lovely wrapped fish in dough (was amazing)
This year I have a frozen turkey  that I will make,
But sure to my daugther I can make something like this recipe.

 This recipe was really  a winner. I serve with avocado salad but with lettuce is amazing too.Or mashed potatoes,

Ingredients

1/2 cup of grind almonds
1/2 cup all purpose flour
4 fish fillets (tilapia or halibut)
salt and pepper
2 tablespoon of butter
2 tabkespoon olive oil
1/2 cup almonds peel and in slices

salads: avocados in slices, lettuces, mashed potatos


METHOD

In a large bowl mix the grind almonds and all purpose flur. Set aside.



On a kitchen table putting fish fillets (a little moist) and sprinkle with salt and pepper .. Then move the fish in flour mixture and ground almonds.
Press slightly to the mixture sticking.
Besides a large skillet, heat the butter and oil over medium heat, add the fish fillets and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove fish and place on serving platter.
In a skillet with a little oil brown the sliced ​​almonds cook, stirring for a minute or until lightly browned.
Remove the pan from the heat and distribute the almonds over fish ..
Serve immediately with salad or mashed potatoes.

Pescado en costra de almendras













Se que en Navidad normalmente la mayoróa come pavo o carne o pollo pero tambien hay gente que no come carne, o prefiere pescado.
De hecho mi hija es practicamente vegetariana,
Sólo come pescado. asi que muchas navidades he hecho
 para la cena salmón u otro pescado.

Así que decidí subir esta receta que en realidad se puede hacer cualquier día. Pero con las almendras le da un toque especial.
(you usé merluza que era lo que tenía pero puede ser blanquillo o el pescado que encuentren)

Receta adaptada de una de Navidad en la cocina (revista Lider)



Ingredientes
1/2 taza de almendras peladas y molidas
1/2 taza de harina
4 filetes de pescado
sal
pimienta
2 cucharadas de mantequilla
2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva
1/2 taza de almendras laminadas

(para pelar las almendras se pueden poner en un pirex con agua al microondas por uns minutos, se espera que se enfrien un poco y pelarlas)

Preparación


 En un recipiente  o bowl mezclar las almendras molidas y la harina. Reservar.

Poner el pescado en una tabla de cocina y espolvorear con sal y pimienta.
(mejor que el pescado esté húmedo)
Luego pasar los filetes de pescado por la mezcla de almendras molidas.
Presionar ligeramente para que se pegue la mezcla.

En un sartén grande  calentar la mantequilla y el aceite a fuego medio.
Agregar el pescado y cocinar unos 3 a 4 minutos por lado o hasta dorar.

Retirar el pescado y poner en una fuente de servir.
En otro sartén con un poco de aceite dorar las almendras laminadas revolviendo hasta dorar ligeramente.
Retirar del fuego y poner las almendras sobre el pescado.
Servir con ensalas de palta o lechuga o puré.

  4. Hola Glorita! Un plato delicioso, las recetas Lider parece que son bien buenas. Yo tengo algo parecido, pollo almendrado, pero va en la cacerola y con más ingredientes.
